Job Description

Chef at a high-end, remote, fly-in fishing lodge. The lodge is located 600 miles north of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The lodge employs two chef's throughout the summer season, which runs from end of May until the middle of August. Chefs have ample autonomy and reports directly to the Owner of the business. The lodge covers all transportation to and from the lodge at the beginning and end of the season.



DUTIES:



1. To provide a varied menu for guests and staff

2. Both cooks expected to be present for all meals

3. There will be an open breakfast menu for all guests

4. To prepare appetizers in appropriate time for customers

5. To maintain cleanliness in the kitchen at all times (includes ovens, burners, steamers, fryers and floors)

6. To be in charge of ordering all food/supplies

7. Maintain and control inventory

8. Be present when orders arrive

9. Able to work independently and with an array of staff members in a professional manner

10. Assist where help is needed

11. This is a shared position - Both chefs are equally responsible for the above.

RESPONSIBILITIES:



1. Provide excellent customer service to our guests

2. Attire must be appropriate to performing the required job

3. Attire and personal appearance can be questioned by management.

4. Any other duties requested by management
