We are a small, busy bistro looking for a

Chef

who can take charge in the kitchen and support all aspects of our operation. In a small team, everyone does a bit of everything -- from prepping and cooking, to plating, organizing the line, supporting dishwashing, and maintaining cleanliness. This role is ideal for someone who is hands-on, adaptable, and ready to grow with us.

Responsibilities:



Lead kitchen operations. Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard, ensuring consistency and presentation. Oversee food prep, storage, and rotation in line with food safety standards. Support the kitchen team with cooking, plating, and cleaning as needed. training and guiding junior staff. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Work closely with the front of house team to ensure smooth service.

Requirements:



Previous experience as a chef, or kitchen lead (restaurant experience required). Strong cooking skills across multiple stations. Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment. Must get handlers certification. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Leadership skills and willingness to take responsibility. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
