Overview


We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team and or build his own team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and management, capable of doing costing and inventory. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, menu planning, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety. This role requires exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment. You must be creative and work well with a team, excellent communication.

Responsibilities



Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences. Oversee food production processes, ensuring quality control and adherence to food safety standards. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels. Coordinate catering services for events, ensuring timely delivery and presentation of meals. Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food handling, and safety protocols. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during meal periods. Monitor food costs and assist in budget management for the culinary department.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the food industry. Excellent leadership skills with experience in team management and shift management. Proficient in menu planning, inventory management, food production techniques, and food costing. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Culinary degree or equivalent experience is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality. Pay: From $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
