Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen activities, including food preparation and cooking.
Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure a cohesive team environment.
Develop and implement menu items that reflect current trends while adhering to food safety standards.
Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organization within the kitchen.
Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed to guarantee the safety and quality of all dishes.
Collaborate with restaurant management to optimize kitchen operations and improve overall efficiency.
Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed while minimizing waste.
Engage with guests to receive feedback on dishes and make adjustments as necessary.
Requirements
Proven experience in a culinary role with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Supervising experience in a kitchen environment is essential; previous restaurant management experience is preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food industry.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and guests.
A passion for hospitality and creating memorable dining experiences for customers.
Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
