We are currently seeking an experienced Cook to fill the very important role of CDP - Kitchen Tournant.
We are interviewing to fill the full time role of Kitchen Tournant. The role of Tournant is responsible in providing coverage for each kitchen Chef De Partie's Day off: Breakfast CDP, Lunch CDP, Pastry CDP, Dinner CDP (Sous), Team Meal Cook. While you don't need to be an expert in any one field, you do need to have experience in most. The ideal applicants should have a minimum of 6 years of cooking experience, preferably in a catering and/or lodge environment and a strong background in creating healthy meals with a focus on dietary needs. Culinary qualification from an accredited institution is preferred. Food Safe certification is a must.
We are looking for candidates who bring to the table:
The cooking ability to provide Delicious and Nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) with fine dining presentation and attention to detail.
Experience and knowledge of recipes and meals for Dietary Specifics such as Gluten-free, Dairy-free, Vegetarian, Egg-free, Pescatarian, Soy-free, etc.
A kind, respectful and adventurous spirit, and an interest in working remotely in the Great Bear Rainforest.
A solutions-oriented and positive attitude.
An Understanding that safe spaces, teamwork, and a growth mindset create great working environments.
Flexibility, adaptability and the ability to multi-task.
This will be full-time, 21 days on and 10 days off per month with 2 days off per rotation at the resort commencing ASAP until the end of October. Our team is transferred to Nimmo Bay through Port McNeill, B.C. for every shift, so the ideal candidate must be able to commute to & from Port McNeill on change over days.
