Job Overview:

This job is a day job - work in the evenings will not be required under normal circumstances. Starting hourly wage will be commensurate with experience. Opportunities for pay raises over time will be provided.

We are seeking someone immediately who wishes to grow with our company. We are a small group of enthusiastic and friendly entrepreneurs seeking a new member who will help us make and package cheese. This person must be able to work all day on their feet, lift 50 lbs over their head, and should value incorporating movement into their work life. This is also an opportunity to learn a trade - cheesemaking - and will involve becoming certified in raw milk handling and food safety. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of our head cheesemaker, Catherine Keeler, and must be available on Sundays for a few hours to receive the raw milk from local dairy farms. Living close to the facility will be considered a benefit as it is useful to have someone "on call" in case of emergencies. Experience with food safety, laboratory procedues, basic chemistry and/or process engineering principles will be considered an asset. The working language is English. Duties:

- Learn the general operations of a cheese manufacturing facility including cheesemaking and ageing

- Be available on Sundays for a few hours midday to receive raw milk from local farms

- Wash and sanitize equipment

- Strictly follow food safety protocols

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
