Canadian Hockey Enterprises is currently accepting applications for Head Coach for the 2026-27 fall season. Located in Peterborough, ON, Canadian Hockey Enterprises has operated as a full-service Hockey Company, operating tournaments and camps across North America since 1987. 2026-27 will serve as the inaugural season for CHE Academy, competing against similarly operating Ontario Academies and AAA level competition.
Responsibilities
Design and implement effective training programs tailored to the needs of individual players and the team as a whole.
Conduct regular practices focusing on skill development, strategy, and teamwork.
Provide constructive feedback to players to help them improve their performance.
Organize and lead team meetings to discuss goals, strategies, and game plans.
Monitor player progress and adjust training methods as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
Promote sportsmanship, discipline, and respect among players during practices and games.
Collaborate with other coaching staff to create a cohesive coaching strategy.
Ensure the safety of all players during practices and games by adhering to safety protocols.
Scout/recruit players during the 2025-26 season, to help attract eligible players for 2026-27 season
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently and demonstrate strong responsibility
A proven record of integrity, high principles and demonstrated skill in developing and motivating student-athletes both academically and athletically
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment, get along and work well with other members of the department, supervisors, and other employees/coaches
Qualifications
Previous experience in coaching hockey at a high level is preferred.
Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate effectively with high performance athletes
Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire athletes.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning practices and managing team logistics.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for practices and games.
Must have/willing to acquire all Hockey Canada Coaching Certifications
Must receive a negative Criminal Record Check
Must have a valid Passport
Must be currently able to work in Canada or hold a Canadian employment visa
