Emergency preparedness is a critical aspect of CCH operations. It is essential that all staff and physicians receive training and understand their roles and responsibilities in this field.


Summary of responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostics Imaging, the technologist will participate and be responsible for daily duties of all technical radiography staff. They will maintain a good QA program, schedules, and preventative maintenance, maintain safe operation of all radiography equipment, schedule, uphold, and communicate all policies and procedures of the department and organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the Radiologists for protocols, policies, image quality and ongoing departmental quality initiatives. Provides direct care as required during regularly scheduled shifts.

Current registration with the CMRITO Minimum of 5 years' experience as an MRT Completion at minimum, one Leadership skills initiative course Completion at minimum, one Quality Assurance course Demonstrated leadership, supervisory skills, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, conflict management and organizational skills Minimum 1 year experience with direct supervision of radiography students Strengths to include working well with all levels of internal management, staff and physicians Excellent computer skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Virtuo, RisPACS Proficiency in digitized radiography equipment Staff scheduling experience Scheduling experience to include prioritizing and triaging of requests Proven ability to perform daily and monthly quality control procedures specific to Radiology equipment Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality Ability to meet physical demands of position including lifting over 60 lbs. and withstand constant standing and/or walking Current BCLS Certification and all training defined in LMS for Diagnostic Staff Demonstrated regular/punctual attendance Demonstrated commitment to patient safety Demonstrates ICARE Values


Assets:

Current registration with the CAMRT * Functional level in both official languages (oral and written in English; oral in French - and testing completed)
