Department Overview

The National Builder & Realtor Operations team is accountable for the development and execution of operational strategies within the Builder and Realtor space. Our team works in an exciting and dynamic area and contributes towards TD\'s Real Estate Secured Lending growth by supporting strategies to drive the development of deep and long-lasting relationships between TD Mobile Mortgage Specialists (MMS) and third-party Centres of Influence (COI). The relationships between COIs and MMS professionals can help our customers achieve their homeownership goals.

Job Requirements

  • Visionary leader with demonstrated experience of effective coaching and relationship building with COIs.
  • Business acumen: strategic thinking, business process development, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Previous business development and sales management experience at the B2B and B2C level.
  • Experience leading and implementing acquisition strategies.
  • Skillful negotiator and partnership skills to balance partner input but remain objective to reach the right outcome - ability to stay resilient under pressure.
  • Demonstrated relationship building skills and proficient at making things happen through the use of positive influence.
  • Excellent judgment, impact and influence capability, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with leaders at all levels across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organizational awareness and resourcefulness - understanding of whom to engage in order to identify solutions and resolve issues.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills - professional, confident, transparent and concise communicator (verbal and written); with the ability to simplify complex information.

Job Details

The Channel Acquisition Manger role is a key business development position within the National Office, Specialized Home Financing department that reports to the Senior Manager, National Builder & Realtor Operations. The successful candidate will work with internal and external partners to expand TD\'s market share by increasing quality third-party COI referrals. The primary focus will be to strategically develop and implement change to drive partnership engagement at the Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Customer (B2C) level in the realtor space.

Key accountabilities include:
  • Actively manage realtor partnership and sponsorship opportunities to develop and implement strategies to position TD as the financial institution of choice.
  • Deepen high-value realtor relationships by establishing reoccurring connections with Realtor Brokerages and their respective agents to source new opportunities.
  • Use a disciplined approach to a rigorous and transparent sales management process, which includes planned sales activities, coaching and regular ongoing documented summaries and tracking.
  • Lead, coach and develop MMS colleagues to provide exceptional service to realtor offices/partnerships including but not limited to pipeline management, advice-giving strategies, customer solutions and sourcing new opportunities.
  • Become TD\'s brand ambassador at realtor related industry events to build positive relationships with new and existing Relator Brokerages.
  • Enhance TD\'s relationship with Realtor Broker Owners, deepen engagement with existing members of TD\'s Volume Bonus Program and onboard new members to the program to drive referrals.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the realtor competitive landscape, including, but not limited to products, processes, offers and performance ecosystems at other financial institutions.
  • Contribute towards the development of acquisition strategies and Key Performance Indictors (KPI) to acquire and deepen COI relationships in the realtor space.
  • Liaise with Product, Policy, Marketing and Risk partners to deliver relevant and competitive offer packages.
  • Partner with the Geospatial team to derive meaningful insights to develop and update acquisition strategies and forecasts.
  • Support the development and execution of an annual business plan for realtor opportunities and demonstrate accountability to plan by updating leadership on progress, address concerns and highlighting successes.
  • Contribute to operational improvements to streamline processes and procedures to enhance service to our MMS partners and external partners.
