About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary, full-time Change Management Specialist to join our dynamic Enterprise Program Enablement and Project Management Office team. The work of a Change Management Specialist is integral to Canadian Blood Services' role as Canada's Biological Lifeline.
The Change Management Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive change management strategies to ensure the successful adoption and execution of large-scale enterprise initiatives, thereby supporting business objectives and strategy. This pivotal role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including executives and project managers, and offers the opportunity to not only oversee planning and execution for key initiatives but also to establish a lasting enterprise-wide change management capability essential for navigating the dynamic healthcare landscape.
Formula for Success

• You will actively contribute to building the organization's change execution capability by advising leaders, serving as a trusted partner to project and regional leads on change agendas, developing and delivering training modules for managers, and creating new methods and tools for change management.
• You will be responsible for leading change management activities for specific projects or initiatives by leveraging a change management methodology and its associated processes and tools. This includes creating a change adoption strategy, assessing the organization's change readiness, and developing and delivering change communications. Furthermore, the role involves collaborating closely with a Director to lead and manage project teams in implementing complex programs, processes, or interventions, while also providing mentorship and support to other Organizational Change colleagues.
• You will manage and implement various change initiatives by optimizing, applying, and developing new change management practices, processes, and tools. This work includes creating comprehensive change management plans and governance frameworks that define roles and responsibilities, as well as designing and implementing a framework for monitoring and evaluating the success of change and addressing stakeholder concerns.
• You will faciliate both inter- and intra-team communication by working with various groups to refine change communication plans and enhancing dialogue within the ePMO to support the flow of information across project and program management practitioners. Additionally, you will be responsible for staying current with organizational change management best practices and performing other related duties.

Desired Education & Skills

• A university education in a relevant discipline, with a graduate degree or certification in Organizational Effectiveness, Organizational Psychology or Organizational Change preferred.
• Experience in transformation change initiatives required, ideally in a PMO setting.
• Subject matter expertise in change management methods and communication is required, and a preference for any related certifications in this area.
• Seven years of experience in managing and assisting complex change management initiatives, business improvement projects, technology projects and/or consulting work over an extended period.
• General management experience - leading teams, large initiatives and achieving measurable results - is an asset.

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
