Certified Teacher



Start Date: September 2, 2025



Location: United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Centre



Days/Hours: Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm





MITT is hiring a 0.25 FTE Certified Teacher for Applied Math 40S and Applied Business Technologies 40S. Click here to learn more about MITT's Adult Learning Centres.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



Teaching the curriculum prescribed or approved by the minister. Providing an effective classroom learning environment. Maintaining order and discipline among pupils attending or participating in activities that are sponsored or approved by the school, whether inside or outside the school. Advising pupils as to what is expected of them in school, reviewing their assessments with them, and evaluating their progress and reporting on that progress. Administering and marking any assessment of pupil performance that the minister may direct, in the manner that the minister directs. Ongoing professional development.

Required Qualifications and Experience

:

Valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate. Previous Grade 11/12 Math and Business Technologies experience is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

:

Experience teaching in a blended learning environment. Experience with Brightspace Learning Management System. Experience teaching in an adult setting.

Conditions of Employment:



Legally entitled to work in Canada. Successful completion of a Criminal Record check including vulnerable sector and Child Abuse Registry Check.

Salary is in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

An eligibility list may be created for similar positions. Developmental opportunities may be available for candidates who do not meet all of the requirements of the position.
