Beacon Heights ECS provides inclusive early learning programs since 2021, expert supports, and nurturing spaces built around each child's unique needs. We are now enrolling for the 2025-2026 school year and future years. Our programs include Pre?Kindergarten and full?day Kindergarten, structured to support continuity, growth, and transition into Grade 1.

The Opportunity
We are looking for a permanent full-time (1.0 FTE) Certified Teacher to join us for the 2025-2026 school year and future years. The role involves leading a classroom in Pre?K or Kindergarten, creating individualized learning plans (IPPs), supporting children with diverse needs, and collaborating across our multidisciplinary team.

Your Role & Responsibilities
Create and implement Individualized Program Plans (IPPs) in partnership with the classroom team.
Deliver developmentally appropriate, play?based educational learning programme for Pre?K or full?day Kindergarten following the Alberta education curriculum.
Observe, track, and assess children's progress, adapting instruction as needed.
Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom culture that cultivates social, emotional, and academic growth.
Collaborate with parents, educational assistants, and specialists (OT, SLP, BT) for well?rounded support.
Use diverse teaching techniques and tools to meet varied learning styles.
Maintain comprehensive records of IPPs, student progress, and communication with families.
Mentor and supervise educational assistants, practicum students, and volunteers.
Participate in ongoing learning to stay current with best practices in early childhood education and inclusive learning.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor of Education degree.
Valid Alberta teaching certification.
Experience working with young children, especially in early childhood settings or inclusive contexts.
Familiarity with child development, inclusive education strategies, and intervention support.
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Creativity, patience, and a passion for helping children grow.
Required Clearances
Calgary Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (dated within 3 months prior to start).
Alberta Child Services Intervention Record Check (support provided during onboarding).
