Overview

We are seeking a skilled certified Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and be proficient in various aspects of electrical work, including installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with local codes and regulations. Is willing to work on projects in the Fraser Valley and GVRD areas. This position comes with a company work van.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial, or light industrial, or minimal residential settings. Can wire and troubleshoot motor controls. The ability to bend and install conduit. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. New construction and tenant improvement projects. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks including wiring, circuit installation, and troubleshooting. Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues or areas for improvement. Work with low voltage systems as needed, including data systems and telecommunications. Collaborate with construction teams during renovation projects to ensure proper electrical installations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Skills

Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding electrical schematics. Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in electrical work. Ability to bend and install conduit. Strong background in construction practices related to electrical installations. Knowledge of low and medium voltage systems and their applications. Previous experience with renovation projects involving electrical work is a plus. Experience as a commercial electrician is highly desirable for this role. Pay: $44.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
