Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team for night shifts. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our Residents, ensuring their comfort and well-being during the night hours. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care, senior care, and dementia care, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve.

Must have PSW Certificate and First Aid/CPR Certificate to apply.

Duties

As a Certified PSW working nights, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting residents with hourly nightly checks and brief changes. Administering medications as prescribed and monitoring client health conditions Providing companionship and emotional support to clients Completing the check list of cleaning and laundry for the night. Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients Assisting early risers with brief changes, dressing, medications, snacks. Documenting care/medication provided, changes in their condition and behaviour.

Experience

The successful candidate will possess:

Certification as a Personal Support Worker Experience in home care, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities Knowledge of medication administration protocols Familiarity with caregiving techniques for seniors and individuals with disabilities Experience in dementia care is highly desirable Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
