We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, assisting dentists during procedures, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both patients and staff.

Duties

Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including orthodontics and pediatric treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using software such as Dentrix and Epic. Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently as a dental receptionist when required. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high standards of care and patient satisfaction. Stay updated on medical terminology and advancements in dental assisting practices.

Skills

Proficiency in using dental software, particularly Cleardent, Sidexis and Itero Scanning. Strong knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dental assisting techniques. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in a fast-paced environment while providing compassionate patient care.
