We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Level II Dental Assistant to join our fun loving dental team. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of a very well established & non-corporate Barrhaven family practice. Our owner Dr. John Chu volunteers in our community & is a past president of the Ottawa Dental Society.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. This position requires a strong background in dental assisting, excellent communication & time management skills, and the ability to work effectively with both patients and staff.

Duties

Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Perform chairside assisting duties, including suctioning, instrument passing, and patient monitoring. Manage patient records using dental software , ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain proper inventory of clinical supplies Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations. Utilize CAD technology for creating dental impressions or models when necessary. Stay updated on medical terminology relevant to dentistry to enhance communication with patients and healthcare professionals.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology. Proficiency in using dental software systems Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate patient records management. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism at all times. Certification in Level II Dental Assisting is required. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34 - 35 per week
