Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. This role involves assisting with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and safety of patients, and promoting their overall well-being. The Health Care Aide will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide personal care services including medication administration and monitoring vital signs. Support patients with mobility assistance and heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by performing light housekeeping duties. Engage with patients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Document patient care activities accurately and report any changes in health status to nursing staff. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for patients.

Experience

Previous experience in assisted living, senior care, or hospice care is preferred. Familiarity with patient care techniques, including dementia care and working with individuals with disabilities. Experience in home care settings is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families. A background in cleaning or caregiving is beneficial for maintaining a safe environment for patients. Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including heavy lifting when required.
