We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private residences. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring the comfort and well-being of those you serve. This position requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patients for any side effects or changes in condition. Support individuals with mobility challenges through safe lifting techniques and equipment usage. Maintain cleanliness in living areas and assist with light housekeeping tasks. Document patient care activities accurately and report any concerns to nursing staff or supervisors. Engage patients in meaningful activities that promote cognitive function and social interaction, particularly for those with dementia or disabilities. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Qualifications

Previous experience in assisted living, senior care, hospice care, or home care is preferred. Familiarity with patient care practices including medication administration and meal preparation is essential. Experience working in nursing homes or providing caregiving services is highly valued. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and assist patients with mobility needs. A caring attitude towards seniors and a commitment to providing high-quality care. Certification as a Health Care Aide or equivalent training is an asset but not mandatory.
