We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and support the overall patient experience in a friendly and professional manner.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and materials. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling visits. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and infection control protocols.

Skills

Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry. Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics is a plus. Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) technology is beneficial. Previous experience as a dental receptionist can enhance your candidacy. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 25 per week
