Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
- Take dental x-rays ( Including CBCT )
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Utilize dental software systems such as Open Dental for patient management
-Ability to make temporary crowns, bridges and take iTero scans
- Ordering clinical supplies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- X-ray certification
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Experience in orthodontics, pediatrics, or other specialized areas is a plus
- Proficiency in using CAD/CAM systems for digital impressions is a plus
Skills:
-Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Ability to take dental x-rays accurately and safely( including a CBCT )
- Experience in orthodontics, pediatrics, periodontics & endodontics is beneficial for specialized treatments
Bonus Skills:
- Dental receptionist skills are a bonus but not mandatory
