Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our great team. We're a small friendly and relaxed dental practice located in the Kerrisdale neighbourhood of Vancouver.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. Our patient population has a significant portion of Mandarin and Cantonese speaking so language skills will be an asset.

Duties

Please note that training is available for any of the duties the candidate may no have experience in. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental radiographs as required. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the office. Collaborate with other dental team members to ensure optimal patient care. Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and maintaining inventory of dental supplies.

Requirements

Candidate must be a certified dental assistant. Be able to use Cleardent (training available) Familiarity with orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is advantageous (again training available) Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) applications is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating professionalism at all times. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $27.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
