Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the office. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both patients and staff.

Duties

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Maintain patient records accurately using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups, cancellations, and confirmations. Sterilize instruments and maintain the cleanliness of the treatment area in compliance with health regulations. Support orthodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure seamless patient flow and communication. Provide assistance in pediatric dentistry settings, ensuring a comfortable experience for young patients.

Requirements

Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience is preferred. Proficiency in using dental software such astracker is highly desirable. Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology is beneficial. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Certification in CPR or BLS is preferred.
