Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic Orthodontic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team with various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong commitment to patient comfort and safety, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all supplies are stocked. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and patient check-in/check-out processes. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a positive patient experience.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of orthodontics is preferred. Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix or Epic. Understanding of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) applications related to dentistry is a plus. Strong grasp of medical terminology relevant to dental procedures. Experience in a dental receptionist role is advantageous for managing front-office duties. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and team members effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks.

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
