We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other team members to deliver exceptional service to our patients.

Duties

Dental Assistant Job Duties:

Prepare and Sterilize Instruments:

Clean, sterilize, and prepare dental instruments and equipment before procedures.

Assist the Dentist During Procedures:

Help the dentist by passing instruments, holding retractors, and ensuring the patient's comfort during procedures.

Patient Care and Comfort:

Greet patients, prepare them for treatment, and ensure their comfort throughout their visit.

Take X-rays:

Perform routine dental radiography (X-rays) under the supervision of the dentist.

Record Patient Information:

Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, treatments, and progress notes.

Assist with Diagnostic Procedures:

Prepare and assist with diagnostic procedures, such as fillings, crowns, and extractions.

Provide Post-Treatment Instructions:

Educate patients on proper aftercare instructions and oral hygiene practices.

Manage Inventory and Order Supplies:

Keep track of dental office supplies, reorder as needed, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

Schedule Appointments:

Help schedule patient appointments and confirm upcoming visits.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred Proficiency in using dental software systems like Dentrix or similar platforms. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.47-$30.15 per hour
