We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills to create a welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Provide patient education on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Curve Dental. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties when necessary, including answering phones and greeting patients. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Support orthodontic procedures and assist in pediatric dentistry as required.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of medical terminology. Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable. Familiarity with orthodontics practices is a plus. Ability to perform CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tasks related to dental procedures is beneficial. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Pay: $21.63-$33.09 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
