Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires proficiency in dental assisting techniques, familiarity with dental software, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming and efficient office environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Tracker.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
Understand medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of Cerec being a plus.
Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Tracker.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
A positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent patient care are crucial for success in this role.
