What we look for:

HARP Certified WHIMIS Certification CPR-BLS Certified as a Dental assistant with the Ontario Dental Assisting Association Previous dental assisting is preferred but not required Strong written and communication skills Ability to multi task Very punctual and reliable Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment Ability to work in a team as well as individually

Responsibility:

Clinical assisting duties Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures. Ensure all clinical and storage areas are clean Take Panoramic x-rays and digital impressions Future opportunity to assist in the operating room at HHS for surgical procedures such as facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, and bone grafting. Greet each patient in a welcoming and professional manner Use the computer to input and update patient records (Experience with OMSVision is an asset) Establish strong patient relationship while maintaining ethical professional behavior Prepare the surgical room in accordance with infection control and practice protocols for each patient Thorough understanding of health and safety requirements Accurately and efficiently communicate patient treatment plans with the front desk staff
