Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and interpersonal skills, as you will assist with various dental procedures, manage patient interactions, and maintain the efficiency of the practice.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Provide excellent patient care by ensuring comfort and addressing any concerns during visits. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software. Dentrix knowledge is an asset. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups as a dental receptionist when required. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the dental office.

Skills

Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of medical terminology is essential. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being proactive in individual responsibilities. Knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) may be beneficial for specific dental procedures. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 14 - 21 per week
