Certified Dental Assistant Chairside

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Dental Assistant who has outstanding communication skills. The incumbent will need to have a high level of confidence in assisting in surgical practices including but not limited to sinus lift, bone graft, surgical implants, crowns, etc. Computer literacy is MANDATORY, as we operate digitally.

Duties/Responsibilities:



Work proactively with other team members to ensure a smooth, comfortable, and effective visit for each patient

Gather patient information and health background from the dental management system (Dentrix)

Use and monitor the patient health record database to ensure timely and accurate information entry and corrections as required

Audit and review patient charts to monitor patient progress and ensure proper protocol is being followed

Clinical chairside assisting duties including knowledge of instrumentation

Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behavior

Proficient with digital x-rays both intra oral and Panorex

Prepare treatment room in accordance with infection control and practice protocols for each patient

Perform wide range of dental laboratory procedures

Restock treatment areas, maintain & monitor inventory and place order as and when needed.

Organizing sterilization area, keep it tidy and clean

Ensure instruments and equipment are sterilized, autoclaved & prepared for each patient treatment, plus documenting the results

Running the Hydrim as and when needed

Prepare materials for crowns or dental impressions

Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits

Thorough understanding of practice health and safety requirements

Provide administrative support such as scheduling programs, and maintaining patient records

Make sure all the equipment in operatory and reception area are switched off at end of the day.

Other general dental assistant work assigned by Dr. Ouyar Hossein

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance of all the equipment's

Qualifications



- HARP certified

- Registered/ certified as a Dental Assistant with the Ontario Dental Assisting Association

- Certified with the National Dental Assistant Examining Board (N.D.A.E.B)

- Minimum 1 years' experience as a dental assistant

- Confident knowledge of Dentrix software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
