Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional patient care to our pediatric patients and their families. As well as support in a fast-paced dental environment. This role involves assisting dentists during procedures, and managing patient records. The ideal candidate must have pediatric dentistry experience.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during various pediatric dental procedures. Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform chairside assisting duties while following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Tracker, ensuring accurate medical documentation. Monitor vital signs and provide support in pediatric dentistry as required. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain an organized inventory of dental supplies and equipment. Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively.

Qualifications

Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) is required. Experience with EMR systems, particularly Tracker, is preferred. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology is essential. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques and medical imaging skills. Understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable. Ability to effectively communicate with patients and team members while providing excellent customer service.
