The team at Rutland Dental Centre are seeking a dedicated and proficient Certified Dental Assistant to join our tight knit dental team at our family-owned office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of various technologies and procedures, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment.
We are looking for an additional CDA for 4-5 days per week.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to infection control protocols.
Taking accurate digital radiographs and intraoral photos.
Complete preliminary assessments by reviewing and documenting medical histories.
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures -- our office provides comprehensive care including: general dentistry, crown/bridge, orthodontic, pediatric, endodontic, and surgical procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
Collaborate with the dental receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
Utilize 3D scanners for patient records, patient education, and impressions to be sent to the lab -- we use both a Trios 3shape and iTero intraoral scanners in the office.
Skills
Proficient in using digital dental charts (we use Dentrix at our office).
Experience in chairside assisting in a variety of procedures.
Experience with digital radiographs, including CBCT imaging.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
