NO NIGHTS OR WEEKENDS! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a desire to learn and enjoy having a few different roles within the dental practice. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and excellent interpersonal skills. You will be part of our restorative, interceptive orthodontic and front desk teams. (Position is for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday)
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Abeldent
Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness in the treatment area according to infection control protocols.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and managing patient inquiries.
Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to create a comfortable experience.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with knowledge of dental assisting procedures and front desk duties.
Experience working in pediatrics is highly desirable.
Experience working in orthodontics is highly desirable
Proficiency in using dental practice management software such as Abeldent
Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is crucial.
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on patient interaction and education.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
