Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments using aseptic techniques to maintain infection control standards.

Assist dentists chairside during various procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow with four-handed dentistry techniques.

Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.

Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation of medical and dental histories, vital signs, and treatment notes.

Support front desk operations by performing dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and updating medical documentation.

Conduct patient education on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions using clear dental terminology.

Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment following infection control protocols and anatomy knowledge to ensure patient safety.

Experience
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.

Prior hands-on experience with dental assisting duties including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and managing medical records.

Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children is highly desirable.

Certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program is required; additional certifications in X-ray technology or pediatric dentistry are advantageous.
