Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to our dental team, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and ready for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency. Sterilize instruments and maintain cleanliness of the treatment area in compliance with health regulations. Support orthodontic procedures when required, demonstrating knowledge of orthodontic terminology and practices. Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive care, including pediatrics if applicable.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; however, candidates with relevant training will also be considered. Familiarity with medical terminology related to dentistry is essential. Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic is a plus. Knowledge of orthodontics and pediatric dentistry is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy environment. Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is preferred but not mandatory.
