We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where clinical skills and compassionate service are highly valued. Experience with dental software such as Cleardent as well as knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics, will be considered strong assets.
Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures.
Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
Manage patient records using Sidexis and Cleardent software systems
Provide post-treatment instructions to patients and answer their questions
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients
Support front desk activities as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and verifying insurance information
Educate patients on oral health practices and treatment plans
Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards during documentation and communication
Skills
Proficiency with dental software such as Cleardent an asset
Knowledge of general dentistry procedures.
Familiarity with CAD imaging technology used in dental diagnostics
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including children
Ability to multitask efficiently in a busy clinical setting
Must have a valid dental assisting license and is registered with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP)
