We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Level II Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a strong background in dental assisting. This role involves working closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality dental care to our patients. The successful candidate will be proficient in using dental software such as Dentrix, and will have experience in various areas including orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is ready for use. Sterilization of equipment and instruments.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Polishing and taking impressions.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems such as Dentrix.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
Provide support in orthodontic, Endodontics a and surgical procedures, ensuring patient comfort throughout the process.
Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth operations within the practice.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology.
Familiarity and proficiency with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix.
Experience in orthodontics and pediatrics is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry is essential.
Strong communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Understands teamwork and communication.
