Experienced and Certified Cook
. As a Food Service Worker, you will be essential in delivering high-quality meal preparation and food service in our establishment. Your core skills in food handling, cooking, and food safety will ensure that all meals meet our high standards and follow the Public Health Food Handling and Safety Guideline.
A valid Food Handler Certification and proficiency in English are required to maintain compliance and effective communication within our team. At least one year experience in a Retirement home, long term care or Hotel setting. Join us in creating memorable dining experiences through exceptional service and culinary excellence.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
Assist in menu planning to meet nutritional and aesthetic standards
Ensure all food handling and preparation adhere to food safety regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and cooking areas
Use knife skills and culinary techniques to prepare ingredients efficiently
Support meal presentation and plating for optimal visual appeal
Collaborate with dietary and service staff to ensure timely meal delivery
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs for efficient kitchen operations
Follow proper food storage procedures to prevent contamination or spoilage
Skills
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or culinary roles, including restaurant or fine dining experience
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
Expertise in menu planning and meal preparation tailored to dietary requirements
Excellent knife skills and proficiency with various cooking techniques
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Experience with catering or serving is a plus
Knowledge of the food industry trends and culinary innovations
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
