Job Overview

We are looking to expand our team of Certified Classical Pilates Instructors to teach private, semi-private, & small group classes in our boutique studio located in Kerrisdale, Vancouver. Our foundation is based on the Classical Pilates method, but we integrate other methodologies in order to create a Pilates experience that provides the maximum benefit to our clients. We foster a supportive environment where our teachers and clients can thrive. We offer mentorship for apprentice teachers and teachers looking to elevate their teaching skills.

Our small but mighty studio is located on the 2nd floor inside the Kerrisdale Professional Building. This provides a distraction free space where teachers and clients can focus and reap the maximum benefits of their practice.

We are currently hiring for Saturday/Sunday mornings & Monday-Fridays day shifts.

Requirements:

*Must currently hold a comprehensive Classical Pilates certification from an accredited institution or is currently in a comprehensive Classical Pilates training program.

*Candidates must possess knowledge for using a variety of Classical Pilates equipment properly and safely.

*Current CPR Certificate

Responsibilities:

*Conduct Pilates classes for individuals and semi-private groups, ensuring proper Pilates methodology is followed while fostering a safe & welcoming environment.

*Have a deep understanding of the Classical Pilates method of exercises and able to communicate and share this understanding with their clients.

*Ability to assess new clients & create programs that are custom tailored to help clients achieve their goals while addressing any injury/conditions/concerns. Must be knowledgeable of modifications and contraindications for conditions and injury or willing to learn.

*Provide guidance and feedback to clients on form and technique. Review progress and adjust the programs as needed.

*Must exhibit professionalism, organization, reliability, kindness, positivity and self confidence.

*Mandarin Speaking is a PLUS

Experience:

*Teaching: At least 1 Year (Preferred)

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance, Apprenticeship

Pay: From $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 5 per week
