Job Description

Jerry Mainil Ltd. is seeking a Certified B pressure and stainless welder for our oilfield construction operations and structural welding. Typically, you will be welding carbon and stainless piping at one of our welding shops in Weyburn. You will also be required to go into the field for fabrication/completion as needed. JML has a very diverse operation so you will also be required for servicing and welding various pieces of equipment within our construction fleet. JML is also CWB certified so tickets with the CWB would be an asset as well.

Required Skills & Attributes:

Valid Driver's license

Ability to work with minimal supervision.

A good work ethic & willingness to learn/take on new projects.

Comfortable working outdoors; sometimes in harsh conditions

Emphasis on quality, productivity while working safely & according to all company and client policies/procedure & specifications.

Problem solving skills

First Aid/CPR certificate

H2S Alive certificate

B Pressure ticket

Journeyman ticket is an asset

Other oilfield tickets such as Fall-Pro, Confined Space, CSO, Ground Disturbance are also an asset.

Core Accountabilities & Duties:

Read/interpret drawings/blueprints and specifications to determine project's needs.

Welding carbon/stainless pressure piping

Organize and keep work area/equipment clean and functional.

Communicate project needs or deficiencies with Welding Supervisor, QC, and co-workers.

Follow written and oral instructions as given.

Understand & participate in JML's QC program

Conduct repairs, modifications, retrofits (including heavy equipment)
