Project Description



The PHSA Regional Digital Solutions team supports clinical information systems that enable safe, consistent patient care across three British Columbia health organizations: Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), and Providence Health Care (PHC). This project requires a Cerner application/configuration analyst to join the CST Clinical Design Team in advancing design, configuration, testing, and adoption of designated Cerner Millennium modules--ambulatories preferred--within a complex, multi?organization environment.

Services Required



As a key member of the CST Clinical Design Team, the Healthcare Cerner Systems Analyst will: - Analyze and document detailed business and clinical requirements for their assigned specialty area. - Map requirements to Cerner Millennium capabilities, identifying and documenting gaps and mitigation approaches. - Develop detailed clinical specifications and user readiness plans. - Participate in software analysis, configuration/build, tailoring, testing, and validation activities. - Contribute expertise to committees and cross?functional working groups as needed.

Duties Include



Leading and/or conducting workshops, interviews, and exercises to elicit detailed business/clinical requirements. Developing detailed application and configuration specifications; validating specification documentation. Performing feasibility studies; conducting gap analyses against Cerner module features and functions. Configuring and building solutions using Cerner build tools; executing application analysis (performance, capacity, interfaces, data conversion routines, acceptance criteria, risks/opportunities). Documenting changes in user processes; assisting with business process redesign and future?state workflows. Recommending new applications, configuration patterns, and process improvements. Contributing to policies and procedures related to clinical applications. Building detailed work plans for application releases and implementation schedules. Liaising with privacy and security stakeholders to ensure compliance. Designing and executing system and integration tests; authoring test scripts. Developing training materials and delivering user training/education. Providing Tier?2/3 troubleshooting and issue resolution support post?deployment.

Location/Work Hours:

All consultants must be based in Canada and available to work in alignment with Pacific Time.

Engagement Window:

November 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026.

Environment:

Large, multi?site, multi?stakeholder health system with complex ambulatory workflows and integrations.

Experience and Qualifications



Required/Strongly Preferred



Hands?on proficiency building and maintaining the Cerner Millennium suite of applications (

Ambulatory preferred

). Demonstrated experience implementing Cerner Millennium in complex ambulatory information system environments. Proven ability to troubleshoot Cerner issues with an understanding of Cerner's data model and architecture. Prior Cerner training (an asset). Clinical background (preferred) and strong familiarity with clinical workflows. Experience in workflow analysis and future?state design; full project life?cycle experience preferred. Canadian healthcare experience/knowledge (preferred). Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead sessions and translate clinical needs into actionable technical specifications. Strong documentation discipline (requirements, specifications, test scripts, training materials) and stakeholder engagement skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: Up to $100.00 per hour
