The Heavy Construction Safety Association is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and strategic

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

to lead our non-profit organization in advancing safety excellence across the heavy construction industry. This is a unique opportunity to influence industry standards, support member companies, and champion a safer workplace for thousands of workers across the province.

About Us



We are a non-profit association dedicated to improving safety outcomes in the heavy construction sector through training, certification, advocacy, and collaborative industry support. We work closely with member companies, regulatory partners, and stakeholders to foster a culture of safety leadership.

Position Summary



The CEO provides overall strategic leadership and direction to the association. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for organizational management, stakeholder relations, financial oversight, and driving the association's mission to deliver high-quality safety programs and services.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and execute the association's strategic plan and long-term vision. Foster strong relationships with member companies, industry partners, and government bodies. Oversee the delivery, quality, and growth of safety programs, training, and COR certification. Provide leadership to staff, cultivating a collaborative and performance-driven culture. Manage budgeting, financial sustainability, and operational accountability. Represent the association at industry events, safety forums, and industry meetings. Ensure compliance with all legislative, regulatory, and reporting requirements.

Qualifications



Proven senior leadership experience, preferably within a non-profit, safety, construction, or industry-association environment. Strong understanding of occupational health and safety within heavy construction (asset). Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and engagement skills. Experience in strategic planning, financial management, and organizational leadership. Ability to lead change, inspire teams, and navigate complex industry environments. Post-secondary education in business, safety, or related fields is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
