We're looking for a Centrifuge Operator to support our growing team, asap, until the end of October. Great employees may have the opportunity for permanent employment with this team, or as part of the fast growing, larger KBL team. As the Centrifuge Operator you are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the centrifuge systems and related dewatering equipment on project sites across Western Canada. This role includes monitoring and maintaining equipment performance, troubleshooting issues, and performing preventative maintenance to ensure reliability. The successful candidate will also support site setup and teardown, participate in safety programs, and assist with general site duties, all while upholding high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

What You'll Do




Safely operate, monitor, and maintain centrifuge systems and related dewatering equipment. Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventative maintenance to keep equipment running effectively. Support site setup and teardown activities, including rigging, piping, power cables, and other dewatering process requirements. Complete required safety documentation, participate in safety meetings, and uphold all safety standards on site. Assist with general site duties such as monitoring, sampling, housekeeping, and equipment checks.



Who You Are




You bring 1-2 years of experience in dredging and dewatering (e.g., settling ponds, pulp & paper, lime sludge, municipal operations, etc.). Must have exceptional verbal communication skills, able to give and receive verbal information and direction in a fast-paced environment. You have a valid Class 5 driver's license and can travel to project sites across Western Canada. You're a strong team player who can also work independently in challenging environments.



What You Need




Comfortable operating and maintaining heavy equipment and centrifuge systems. Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems. Ability to perform physical tasks safely, including lifting up to 55 lbs, working in confined spaces, and at heights. Proficient in completing equipment logs, safety forms, and other required documentation accurately. Effective communication skills, including use of two-way radios and teamwork on site. Must be willing to work, day & night shifts, up to 12 hours.
