This position will take place on the weekends and it is a "As & When Part Time Position". There are no guarantee hours as it is dependent on rentals of the CSW Gym facilities. We are hiring up to 3 separate weekend positions. Heavy lifting will be a key role in this position as there are set-ups and take-downs of equipment. This work will take place mostly on weekends but could have weekday/night shifts available based on operational needs. The key role of this position is to monitor and manage the sports complex day to day operations. There will be physical work, heavy lifting, setup/take downs, cleaning, maintenance of equipment or work related to sports facility. The incumbent should be organized, fit, work efficiently and be mechanically inclined.
This position is ideal for someone who lives in the Lower Mainland or close to the North Vancouver campus as shifts could be on short notice.

SCOPE
OF
WORK
This is manual work with a clerical component. An incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for monitoring the outdoor and indoor facilities, equipment and facility services. Duties also include issuing equipment, laundry services, equipment set-up and providing information on the programs and services offered within the facility. This position typically reports to the Manager, Athletics and Recreation.

DUTIES
Receives and records fees and handles cashiering functions according to the policies of the Financial Services Department.
Responds to enquiries regarding facilities schedules, services and programs.
Issues equipment and secures proper identification.
Performs laundry services.
Ensures all injuries that occur within the facility are reported to the Manager.
Sets up and takes down equipment as directed.
Ensures security of department equipment, supplies and facilities
Experience, competencies & qualifications
REQUIRED
TRAINING
AND
EXPERIENCE
Completion of grade 12.
Six months of experience in a recreational/sports facility.
