Center Core Attendant
Job Description
Description: The Center Core Attendant is responsible for completing Operating Room (OR) case carts for each surgical procedure, maintaining the OR Core environment, and for ensuring that sterile and unsterile instruments, equipment and supplies are available for use in surgery as needed. The Center Core Attendant is a member of the multidisciplinary team and assists with the preparation of the surgical environment for the care of the patient. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: High School diploma or recognized equivalent required.Additional Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and have the physical ability to push, pull, bend, and stand for prolonged periods of time (more than 30 minutes).Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room or MDRD experience. Working knowledge of Infection Prevention Protocols and sterile technique. Working knowledge of CSA and ORNAC standards.
