We're seeking a passionate and knowledgeable

Cellarperson

to join our team. The

Cellarperson

is responsible for executing the cellaring schedule including filtration of beer, cleaning, sanitizing and preparations of tanks and carbonation of beer while working together with the Production team under minimum supervision to facilitate best-in-class quality standards. The Cellarperson must be a self-starter with great energy, a true passion for craft beer and spirits and enjoy working as part of a team and collaborating with others.

Key Responsibilities



Operating the centrifuge and in line carbonator to filter and carbonate the beer to quality specifications Transfer beer between vessels while maintaining quality and minimizing oxygen pickup Perform blending, and dry-hopping as needed. Regularly perform vessel and tank CIP, cleaning and sanitizing of the cellaring area up to and including the bright beer tanks, centrifuge, floors, pipeworks, exterior of tanks and parts cleaning Correctly and accurately track, weigh and stage hops, adjuncts and brewing aids Ensure finished beer meets the agreed quality standards up to packaging day Perform in collaboration with the Quality Assurance team daily beer quality checks and yeast management Proper handling of chemicals required for sanitization and cleaning of tanks and equipment Champion a clean and tidy facility including general cleaning responsibilities and areas for continuous improvement Provide input on equipment and process optimization throughout growth initiatives May be assigned to various brewery departments as needed, depending on workload and production schedule change

Requirements:



Ideal candidate will have prior experience in a Cellaring role Strong understanding of the science of brewing and associated equipment Schedule flexibility and able to work various shifts and weekends as required A passion for our great beer, the craft beer and spirits industry and eager to learn and collaborate You are an energetic self starter, motivated, enthusiastic and hard working You are reliable and have a positive attitude Exceptional focus, organizational skills, meticulous attention to details with beer quality, sanitation and safety Able to produce continuous quality work in a hot and humid, noisy and fast-paced environment Able to work at heights Physically fit as the majority of work involves standing for long periods of time, and cleaning that involves frequent bending, squatting and reaching Ability to continually drag, carry, climb and manipulate hoses, parts, pumps, buckets, and reservoirs, requiring grasping, reaching using wrists, hands, shoulders and/or fingers, standing, walking, crouching, and lifting regularly throughout the duration of shift Able to lift up to 50 pounds at least six inches off floor on a regular basis Forklift/Walkie and Skyjack Certification (an asset) Smart Serve certification is a must

Pay: $20.00-$23.50 per hour
