The Quality Engineer is responsible for operating the Quality Management System (QMS) and writing procedures to support the QMS development. Other responsibilities include leading audits across all areas of the organization, providing training for QMS, and working on various quality projects and this role drives continuous quality improvement by gathering and analyzing data, maintaining standards, proposing solutions, and communicating with all stakeholders, from operators to high-level management.

This person will be responsible for:



Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards: + Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
+ Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
Oversee effective implementation of the QMS, including any business accreditations Write and maintain the Quality Manuals and Quality Procedures and ensure contents are appropriate for business, operation, and customer requirements Write and Maintain the Standard Operating Procedure content and coordinate the issuing of these documents Organize and manage internal and external audits and corrective action reporting, including training and guiding other auditors Escalate and submit non-conformance reports and follow up to ensure problems are corrected Ensure accurate and standardized collection of data Track SPC data of all inspections and drive future changes (set up control limit and management) Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, or system Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and troubleshooting Review, collect, and analyze data on quality procedures to continuously improve plant targets using the 4M process Maintain and repair laboratory machines as necessary and track spare parts Train operators and engineers on quality issues and any changes occur Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis Part verification and approval for 4M changes Investment and purchasing process for testing equipment and asset management Study and introduce new inspection methods new inspection that can improve detection ability Reviewing drill wide item, monitoring implementation status, schedule managing Audit and support organization quality standard compliance Conduct thorough and timely Line Patrol Audit, Process Patrol Audit, Layered Audit, Vision System Audit in appropriate work areas Provide quality information to customer service team Communicate with regulatory agencies regarding compliance documentation or validation results Recommend resolution of identified deviations from established product or process standards Create, populate, or maintain databases for tracking validation activities, test results, or validated systems Participate in internal or external training programs to maintain knowledge of validation principles, industry trends, or novel technologies

Minimum Requirements



Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent, relevant experience Greenbelt or Blackbelt in Lean Six Sigma (LSS)

Experience:



Laboratory or research experience preferred 1 to 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing setting preferred Working knowledge of measurement, calibration and DOE Experience with complete core documents, including control plans and process failure mode effects analysis (PFMEA) helpful Experience with statistical process control (SPC) Experience with 4M change process (preferred) Understanding of manufacturing processes Basic knowledge of electrical, chemical engineering Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) Knowledge of quality systems and Lean manufacturing Knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9000

Skills:



MS Office Suite and Minitab Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment Data analysis skills Proficiency with Minitab preferred Critical thinking and problem solving Cost analysis Multi-tasking and time management Organization Strong written and verbal communication skills Operations Analysis Quality Control Flexible schedule to address issues at work as they arise and to attend meetings based on overseas schedules Bilingual in English/Korean is preferred
