(DCSP) is a made-in-Winnipeg approach to creating a safer and more welcoming downtown through the availability of cohesive support and non-emergency response to those in the community in need of support and assistance. The DCSP is committed to being a proactive downtown presence, providing prevention and outreach focused on long-term solutions, and to delivering a continuum of care that will help to effect significant change for individuals and the entire downtown community.
Reporting to the Manager of CAN, the CCTV Video Monitoring Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the DCSP teams and community by monitoring CCTV systems, responding to health and wellbeing concerns, and ensuring the safety of the community through effective communication and incident management. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, situational awareness, and the ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations
The incumbent will act in accordance with the Core Guiding and Service Principles of the Downtown Community Safety Partnership and will be a passionate and driven individual, valuing diversity.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor live video feeds from various CCTV cameras to identify and respond to incidents.
Respond promptly to health and well-being concerns observed through CCTV camera feeds or reported by team members.
Document incidents and maintain accurate records related to the CCTV camera program.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary to ensure public safety.
Conduct regular checks and maintenance of pertinent equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Provide daily operational reports and detailed documentation of any incidents.
Communicate effectively with DCSP team members using 2-way radio equipment.
Notify appropriate emergency services (police, fire, ambulance, etc.) in the event of an emergency.
Record and maintain incident reports in compliance with company policies and legal standards.
Ensure timely and accurate logging of all activities and reports throughout each shift.
Act as a liaison between DCSP, partner agencies, community organizations, emergency services, and third-party monitoring stations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience with CCTV camera technology and operations is preferred.
Familiarity with governmental privacy act policies, procedures, and protocols is an asset.
Strong attention to detail and excellent observational skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick, informed decisions.
Exceptional communication skills for effective incident reporting and team coordination.
Experience using 2-way radio equipment in a professional setting.
Knowledge of emergency notification procedures and appropriate emergency services.
Proven ability to maintain accurate and compliant incident reports.
Skilled in facilitating effective communication and collaboration among diverse organizations, including internal teams, community groups, emergency services, and external service providers.
