Overview

We are seeking a skilled CCTV Technician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting surveillance systems across various sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, including experience with electrical systems, computer hardware, and networking. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand and power tools. The CCTV Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the security infrastructure operates efficiently and reliably, contributing to the safety and security of our clients' facilities.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain CCTV surveillance systems in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Read and interpret construction plans, electrical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate system setup. Perform wiring and cabling for low voltage systems including sensors, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and telecommunication lines. Utilize hand tools and power tools to mount cameras, sensors, and related hardware securely. Conduct system testing and troubleshooting to identify issues related to computer hardware, networking, or electrical components. Collaborate with construction teams during new installations or upgrades to integrate surveillance systems seamlessly into existing infrastructure. Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities. Adhere to safety protocols when working with electrical components and high-voltage systems.

Experience

Proven experience with CCTV installation and maintenance in commercial or industrial settings. Familiarity with computer hardware setup and network configuration related to surveillance systems. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams accurately. Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, as well as power tools like drills and saws. Knowledge of sensors, IDS technology, and telecommunication protocols is preferred. Prior work experience in construction or security system installation is advantageous but not mandatory. This position requires a detail-oriented professional capable of working independently or as part of a team to deliver high-quality surveillance solutions that meet client specifications while maintaining safety standards.

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $21.90-$24.00 per hour
