Job Summary

A CCTV operator for sanitary and storm inspections specializes in utilizing closed-circuit television (CCTV) technology to inspect and assess the condition of sanitary and stormwater drainage systems. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity and functionality of sewer systems and preventing environmental issues.

Duties

Conducting Inspections

Perform detailed inspections of sanitary and stormwater pipes using CCTV equipment. Identify blockages, leaks, structural damage, and other anomalies.

Footage Analysis

Review and analyze recorded footage to assess the condition of drainage systems. Document findings and categorize issues based on severity.

Reporting Findings

Prepare detailed reports summarizing inspection results, including photographs and video clips. Communicate findings to engineers or maintenance teams for further action.

Equipment Maintenance

Ensure that CCTV equipment is functioning properly and perform routine maintenance. Troubleshoot technical issues with the cameras or recording systems.

Collaboration

Work closely with municipal workers, engineers, and environmental agencies. Provide insights and recommendations for maintenance and repairs based on inspection results.

Experience

Technical Skills
