Job Description
We're looking for compassionate nurses to join our team of Care Partners here at Willow Lodge Home for Special Care! Located in beautiful Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia, we're a Long-Term Care facility that 61 residents call home. We strive to provide the best care, service, and quality of life for our residents in a safe, dignified, home-like environment. From housekeeping to administering medication, our Care Partners are both the foundation and the face of our home.
The Village of Tatamagouche is a welcoming community with lots to see and do. Plenty of beaches, golf courses and walking trails for the summer months, and ski hill for skiing, snowboarding and cross-country skiing in the winter. A vibrant Main Street with a variety of unique shops, restaurants and the renowned Tatamagouche Brewing Company - there's something for everyone along the North Shore!
Responsibilities
Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skin care, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing and grooming, and emotional support Maintain confidentiality concerning residents, staff and organizational information Work within the CCA Scope of Practice Provide companionship and emotional support to residents Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to facility infection control policies
Qualifications
Current Standard First-Aid and CPR certification (preferred) Successful completion or enrollment in a CCA program (required) Registered with the CCA Registry (required) Effective communication, both written and verbal in English Physically fit/able to perform physically demanding job duties Reliable and punctual with a good attendance record
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Pay: $23.20-$26.20 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 80 per week
Work Location: In person
